Instruct athlete to stand with both feet together and to extend arms straight up so that hands are nearly touching above the head. Then instruct athlete to bend down and try to reach down and touch the toes on each foot. The goal is to have the athlete touch the right toes with the right hand and left toes with left hand while keeping the knees straight. Athletes are more likely to bend at the knees to touch the toes and that is fine for this exercise. Instruct athlete to slowly come back to the starting position. Repeat three times.
