Set up a row of low plastic hurdles. Instruct athletes to line up behind the first hurdle. Instruct the first athlete to stand with feet about shoulder width apart and begin the movement by “hinging” at the hips and moving the arms and hands behind them as they hinge (athletic position). Instruct the athlete to create such movement quickly and then jump over the hurdle while bringing the knees up so that the feet can clear the hurdle. Instruct the athlete to land in the same position as when the athlete began the first jump and immediately repeat the jump over the next hurdle. Instruct the athlete to continue jumping through all the available hurdles in the line.
