HIGH KNEES

Instruct the athlete to begin “running” while moving bent arms (90 degrees) in opposite directions and bringing the knees as close as possible so that the quads are parallel to the ground when performing the movement. Instruct athlete to drive the knees up while “pumping” the arms while moving forward and stepping with the “ball” of the feet (Front part of the feet behind the toes so that heel never touches the ground during the movement).
