Instruct athletes to bear crawl through the course created within the four cone square or a zig-zagged line of cones. Athletes should focus on keeping their bottoms down so that their backs are as close as possible to remain straight (neutral spine). The course could be set up with cones and/or hurdles, creating path for the athletes to bear crawl through. Look for “opposites” as the athlete crawls. That means the athlete moves a hand and the opposite foot moves with it, creating a criss-cross pattern while moving.
